My name is Seneca Scott and I am serving my second term in the

Oklahoma State House of Representatives for District 72.

I have worked hard these past three years to help bring social services and jobs into North Tulsa that would aid in bettering of the

quaility of life of the people I serve.

I work hard with schools like McLain High School, Springdale Elementary, and Greeley Elementary, neighborhood associations, like Northridge and Turley, and many others to help lift up District 72.

About A Voice for North TulsaMy name is Seneca Scott and I am currently serving in the Oklahoma House of Representatives for the citizens of House District 72. After redistricting that occured this year, my new district runs from Hillcrest Hospital and the Pearl District up to Sperry and Owasso. I am excited and ready to continue lifting up those in the new and old areas to help bring economic development and positive changes to my district. I will continue to address the issues my district faces such as safety, food security and access to resouces that build up the community I serve. I'm focused on the job and believe in hard work. I have displayed this work ethic by helping my district gain loans to keep the Turley Tag agency and Turley Volunteer Fire and Rescue in operation. I pushed for the Kendall-Whittier Main Street, been active with the McLain High School Foundation that aided in new uniforms and re-opening of the student green house. During legislative session, I have worked hard to pass the Healthy Corner Stores bill that allows for loans to be offered to those who wish to open small, community minded grocery stores to help decrease lack of food access. I also passed the meth disclosure bill that protects renters from moving into unsafe living conditions. I am proud to serve District 72 and will continue doing my best to bring the resources needed to make District 72 a safe and healthy place to live.

It is important to me that our children gain a proper education we can be proud of and causes them to be competative in the job market. I have helped McLain High School gain a grant for new football helmets, new uniforms and aided in the re-opening of the student greenhouse through the McLain Initative and Foundation.
I am involved in District 72's community through aiding in the development of neighborhood associations, being involved with church groups and schools.

In the 2010 legislative session, I authored and passed the Healthy Corner Stores bill. This bill is to be used to bring small grocery stores to areas that lack proper access to fresh foods needed for our families to be healthy.
Through the Quality Jobs Program, Taylor Riggs located in District 72, offering 98 new jobs for residents. I have also helped Turley Tag Agency and Turley Volunteer Fire & Rescue continue their operations through loans.
